This week our assignment was to complete our project timeline, resource list, teaching & learning guide, and entry event (an activity to get the students started that draws them in to the PBL lessons). Having completed all the assessment guides and rubrics last week, creating these components went much smoother. Knowing exactly what the students would be assessed on helpd all these other pieces quickly fall into place.
We also had some great resources to work with from our Moodle page and my personal favorite was 60in60. It's a wiki run by Brandon Lutz that is home to a huge collection of excellent Web 2.0 tools. I'd never seen the site before and I was quickly impressed with the enormous amount of resources and tools he has shared.
And this site came in handy because part of our assignment this week was to integrate web 2.0 tools into our PBL lesson. For me, this wasn't much of a problem since I had already planned on having the students write blogs and conduct online surveys. But the 60in60 site gave me some excellent ideas to try out in the classroom come this fall.
